The coverage gap

Your engineers should wake up for engineering problems.

Raw alerts are not incident response. NOCsmith owns the first operational steps during your uncovered hours so your team receives a verified, documented escalation—not another notification to investigate from scratch.

01

Alert triage

We acknowledge, validate, correlate, and prioritize alerts before they reach your on-call engineer.

02

Approved remediation

Our operators perform only the L1 actions you have documented and authorized in advance.

03

Ticket ownership

Every acknowledgement, decision, action, and result is recorded in the agreed ticket workflow.

04

Clean escalation

When your engineer is needed, the facts, attempted actions, impact, and next decision are already assembled.

A controlled handoff

From alert feed to owned shift.

Coverage starts with your environment, your rules, and a deliberate go-live path.

  1. 01

    Map the gap

We define covered hours, systems, alert sources, contacts, and response expectations.

  2. 02

    Set the rules

Your runbooks state exactly what we may verify, change, communicate, and escalate.

  3. 03

    Shadow and tune

We learn the live queue, remove avoidable noise, and validate ticket and handoff behavior.

  4. 04

    Take the shift

NOCsmith becomes the named response owner for the agreed coverage window.

A typical single-stack onboarding is planned over 5–10 business days after access is ready.

Coverage built around you

Fill the part of the rota that keeps breaking.

Start with the hours creating the most fatigue or risk. Coverage can be scoped for nights, weekends, holidays, overflow, or another defined operating window.

  • Named ownership for every covered shift
  • Written handoff at the end of coverage
  • Response targets agreed before activation

Clear authority

No guessing at 2 a.m.

Each covered system has an explicit action boundary. Operators see what is authorized before they touch the incident.

NOCsmith owns
  • Alert acknowledgement and validation
  • Documented L1 runbook actions
  • Ticket chronology and evidence
  • Escalation and shift handoff
Your engineers retain
  • Business-impact decisions
  • Unapproved production changes
  • Engineering and project work
  • Complex incident ownership after escalation

Straight answers

Before we take the pager.

NOCsmith is built for small MSPs that need an operational partner, not another dashboard.

Will our clients see NOCsmith?+

No. Delivery is designed to be white-label and aligned to your approved ticket identity, communication process, and escalation path.

Do we have to replace our RMM or PSA?+

Usually not. We begin with your existing monitoring and ticketing stack. If a monitoring layer is needed, it can be included in the private coverage plan.

What actions can the NOC perform?+

Only actions documented and approved during onboarding. Anything outside that boundary is escalated rather than improvised.

How is the service priced?+

Privately, based on covered systems, hours, tooling, runbook depth, and the environment’s normal handled-incident volume. There is no generic public rate card.

How does the initial term work?+

The first engagement runs for three months and is invoiced before onboarding begins. That protects the work required to map, tune, document, and stabilize the coverage.

Tell us what you monitor, when your team needs relief, and which tools already run the environment. We’ll determine whether NOCsmith fits and map the next step.
